The Ukrainian army is American M2 Bradley gunners prove to be an effective tool against Russian combat vehicles, not only because of the turret-mounted TOW missiles, but also because of the vehicles’ main weapon, the 25-millimeter Bushmaster machine gun. It was seen several times that Ukrainian forces destroy Russian tanks with this weapon, once they even successfully engaged a T-90M tank.
Now a Russian MT-LB team carrier had an unfortunate day: a Ukrainian Bradley opened fire on the armored vehicle with its back to the enemy. Most combat vehicles have the weakest armor protection on the back and top.
The MT-LB receives several serious hits, the crew probably did not survive the impact. The machine catches fire at the end of the recording, then slows down and continues like that. This is a strong indication that the driver was killed in the crash.
Of course, the Bradley is not an invulnerable vehicle either, the Russians have just reported such a device occupation. American armored personnel carriers are independent of this unlike many other western weapons they prove particularly effective in Ukraine, Ukrainian soldiers are satisfied with their survivability and firepower.
Update: the longer recording of the clash shows that the MT-LB fulfilled its mission, laying down a Russian sniper unit in the tree line. The plane was caught by the Ukrainian Bradley while retreating.
