Honored to Participate in the Magnolia Awards
Serving as Animation Jury President was a true honor. I had the privilege of presenting the Golden Magnolias to the deserving winners during the live broadcast of the awards ceremony. Though, it was an experience the night before that truly resonated.
A Memorable Gala Dinner & A Symbolic Gesture
the Gala Dinner was a highlight, filled with delicious food, heartfelt toasts, and the company of talented individuals. As the Animation Jury President, I was seated at the head table alongside artists from around the world.
Unexpectedly,I was invited to participate in a special moment: cutting the festival’s 30th Anniversary Cake. This was alongside President of the Documentary Jury, Vikram Channa, and the esteemed actor Chen Baoguo. It felt incredibly humbling to be included in such a symbolic gesture.
It was a delightful contrast – enjoying a Western-style cake within an Eastern cultural setting. Thankfully, no instruction was needed for that particular dish!
