The NBA legend turned heads at a car show
Shaquille O’Neal loves cars and has a lot of them, but his latest vehicle suits him perfectly. The NA legend recently attended a car event with this beast.
In fact, it is a RAM 1500 TRX, but so modified that at first glance there is little appreciation of this extremely brutal pickup. His name? Apocalypse TRX. That machine is incredible, and so is O’Neill himself, who is 2.16m tall. As an athlete he weighed close to 130 kilos, but now he is probably well above that. The legendary former Lakers center was a sensation at the annual Henry County Expo. Not only because of his own colorful personality, but also because of this monster.
It was custom made by Traffic Jams Motorsports, which is a custom car dealership. To sculpt this behemoth, they replaced all the RAM 1500 TRX panels with new armored ones. And for greater reinforcement, they are all painted with Kevlar. The kit is completed with huge all-terrain tires, even bigger than the Goodyear Wrangler Territory, that equip this already brutal pickup truck.
They’ve also seen fit to forge the powerful mechanicals of the 1500 TRX, which is powered by a 712-hp 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine. and 881 Nm. While not detailing the power injection, the company does indicate that a Mechman alternator has been added.
Good old O’Neill has quite a few gems in his garage. And with an estimated bank account of $500 million, he can afford any car he wants. Among them we find, for example, the GMC Sierra Denali, covered in gold and with a very high suspension, with which it usually moves. And among its gizmos it also boasts a Hummer H2, a custom Ford F-650, a Cadillac Escalade, or a very rare Polaris Slingshot courtesy of West Coast Custom that can stretch its wheelbase.
It doesn’t lack supercars like the Lamborghini Gallardo or luxury beasts like the Rolls-Royce Phantom that are obviously custom-made. Also American sports cars, such as two Dodge Hellcats, a red Challenger Hellcat and a Charger Hellcat Police Special.
