NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW cloud gaming service is expanding its library with the upcoming addition of Onimusha: Way of the Sword, which arrives at launch on Thursday, Sept. 3. Players can stream a playable demo of the title immediately, while the platform has also officially exited its beta phase in India, allowing users across the country to access the service without a waitlist.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword Joins the Cloud
Capcom’s latest action-adventure entry, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, is scheduled for a cloud release on Sept. 3. Set within a dark fantasy interpretation of Edo-era Japan, the game tasks players with controlling a lone samurai who utilizes the “Oni Gauntlet” to combat demonic forces known as Genma. The gameplay mechanics emphasize precision swordplay, the use of supernatural abilities, and the strategic absorption of enemy souls.

For those eager to test the mechanics before the full release, a playable demo is currently available for streaming via the GeForce NOW app’s demo row. Users with Ultimate memberships can access the game with RTX 5080-class performance, enabling high-fidelity streaming across various devices including PCs, Macs, handhelds, and smart TVs. This cloud-based approach allows users to begin playing without the need for local storage space or high-end hardware upgrades.
GeForce NOW Expands Availability in India
The GeForce NOW service has transitioned from a beta testing phase to full public availability in India. This expansion allows gamers in the region to select from several membership tiers, including monthly Performance and Ultimate plans, as well as flexible day passes and a free, basic subscription option. To streamline the purchasing process, the service now supports Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions.
Premium subscribers in India gain access to cloud-based features such as real-time ray tracing, NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling), and NVIDIA Reflex for reduced latency. These features are designed to provide higher resolutions and faster frame rates, enabling users to play existing PC game libraries on hardware that might otherwise lack the power to run demanding titles.
New Titles and Library Updates
Alongside the announcement of Onimusha: Way of the Sword, NVIDIA has added several new titles to the GeForce NOW catalog. Among the latest arrivals is Denshattack!, an action game focused on physics-driven chaos where players control runaway trains through destructive, obstacle-filled environments. The game is designed for quick sessions and score-chasing, emphasizing “derailment” mechanics.

The following titles are also available or arriving on the service this week:
- Denshattack! (Released on Steam and Xbox; available on Game Pass as of July 15)
- The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu (Released on Steam on July 15)
- Heave Ho 2 (Released on Steam on July 16)
- Fogpiercer (Released on Steam and Xbox; available on Game Pass as of July 17)
