Internet users complain online about receipts from Biedronka, and specifically about their length. Mrs. Magdalena bought only one apple and still received a 43-centimetre bill. “Very ecologically friendly,” customers say ironically. Why are Biedronka receipts so long? We have a comment from the network.

Recently, there has been a lot of talk about receipts from Biedronka

regardless of the number of products purchased, they are very long.

Below the bill there is usually information about the promotion and the words “we are the cheapest” in large font.

Interestingly, Lidl places promotional information on the back of the receipt,

so it is much shorter than in Biedronka.

Let’s remember that a popular discount store prints millions of receipts a day.

Internet users for several weeks

they publish photos of Biedronka receipts on social media.

“One apple, 43 cm receipt. Really? In this case, the size is not impressive,” wrote Mrs. Magdalena.

Isn’t this receipt too short? One product and it is literally half a meter long. A terrible waste of paper considering the number of transactions per day. Of course, however, placing a conspicuous “we are the cheapest” is more important. It literally took 30 seconds to print – notes another Internet user.

“Biedronka is probably not eco-friendly, such a long receipt, and I bought 3 things, even if it’s recycled paper,” says another Biedronka customer.

In each of the above entries, Internet users accuse Biedronka of lack of concern for the environment. Millions of receipts represent huge amounts of used paper, which generate huge amounts of waste. We remind you that

Store receipts should be thrown into the container for waste remaining after segregation, the so-called confused.

“I only feel sorry for the trees”, “Biedronka is going too far when it comes to these receipts”, “Very ecologically friendly” – we read under the entries where Internet users posted receipts from the Biedronka store.

We have a comment from the network

We asked the Biedronka press office for a comment on this matter.

“Receipts, apart from their obvious role, are an important communication tool for us – we use them most often to inform our customers about the most important promotions, those for food or those in the Biedronka Home online store, which

they allow them to make real savings.

In addition, we also print vouchers for a specific value on receipts, which customers can redeem for purchases in our stores,” Dorota Wrotek-Gut, Marketing Director at the Biedronka chain, told us.

However, we have not received answers to questions regarding ecology and changes in strategy in this matter.
