An armed attack took place at a school in Vantaa, a suburb of Helsinki, the capital of Finland.
It was reported that all of the victims affected by the attack and the attacker were under 18 years of age. According to initial findings, everyone affected by the attack was 12 years old and 3 children were injured. Later, one of these 3 children died in the hospital.
The victims were taken to hospital, a police spokesman said in a statement.
The condition of the other 2 children injured in the attack remains serious.
THE ATTACKER WAS DELIVERED TO SOCIAL SERVICES
It was reported that the child attacker carried out the attack with a gun belonging to a relative. Since the suspect was under the age of 15, he was not taken into custody and was handed over to social services.
It was noted that there were no other suspects in the incident. It remains unclear why the little boy carried out the attack.
“The immediate danger is over,” said Sari Laasila, principal of the Viertola school, and declined to comment further on the incident.

Finnish police announced that the attack took place at Viertola school in Vantaa, a suburb of the capital Helsinki, where approximately 800 students from first to ninth grades are educated.
In the statement made by the police, it was stated that “The police are investigating the scene. We ask the surrounding people to stay away from the area and stay in their homes. The doors should not be opened to strangers.”
It was stated that the suspected perpetrator of the attack was caught and detained. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
