A major police intervention has been underway since shots were fired “possibly by mistake” at a residence inhabited by an elderly couple, around 9:30 p.m. on Catallan Street in the Moisie sector in Sept-Îles. No one was hurt.

The Major Crimes Investigation Division receives reinforcements from a team from Abitibi to try to track down various suspects in the Sept-Îles region. The spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec for the region Hugues Beaulieu specifies that the events in Sept-Îles in recent months are linked to an organized crime network which covers the North Shore, Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec and Beauce.

Wanted criminals

“What is happening in Sept-Îles is linked to All Boivin, the 2nd most wanted criminal in the country and to David Pic Turmel who is hiding in Europe,” maintains Sergeant Hugues Beaulieu. The Sûreté du Québec published a press release this morning announcing that it is intensifying the search to find All Boivin by using the Bolo program.

He is wanted under Canada-wide arrest warrants for several charges related to drug trafficking, including substance trafficking, trafficking conspiracy and possession for the purpose of substance trafficking, events occurring since August 2021 in the cities of Saguenay. , Quebec, Brossard and Abbottsford in British Columbia.
