Siri is not the best service from Apple, to put it mildly, but this time it has gone too far.

“I found some web results, I can show them if you ask again from iPhone”

Because the service on the HomePod and the mini model can no longer tell owners what the time is, the most basic of all questions you can ask an assistant without an LLM about.

It’s not just us who are not satisfied with Siri‌: “Siri‌ has long been derided for not understanding requests and not providing the expected information, and little mistakes like this are a bit embarrassing as Apple prepares for a major AI update,” writes Juli Clover for MacRumors, and a good point is it: iOS 18 is the big AI update that will be revealed on June 10.

The same Apple newspaper also writes that Siri has had greater challenges with HomeKit commands where the user may experience that lights are switched on in the wrong room. The upside is that at least Siri doesn’t deteriorate over the course of the year.
