State television host Vladimir Solovyov, the Kremlin’s most faithful propagandist, raised this idea in his program “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov.”

“In Vladimir Solovyov’s show, the participants reasoned about which Western cities should be the first to be targeted by nuclear strikes. Some of them chose: Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Hamburg, Munich or Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the United States in general,” wrote Mr. Davis.
The idea that the war could turn nuclear has been floated by many Russian officials, including former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. V. Putin in 2022 said in September that Russia was ready to use nuclear weapons to defend its “territorial integrity.” Therefore, this topic is constantly discussed on Russian state television.
War warnings
The portal “Newsweek” reports that Kremlin propagandists constantly warn about the impending world war and Russian strikes on NATO territory due to the aid and weapons provided to Kyiv by the Joe Biden administration and the members of the military alliance.
Solovyov’s speech began with anger at France, shortly after French President Emmanuel Macron said there were “no limits” to Paris’ support for Kyiv.
“France’s goal is not only to get free resources from Russian territory, but also to destroy Russia. Why do I think we should attack the West? Because I can see them through my fingers! They say that ‘Russia can’t tell us how to help Ukraine!’ It’s not for you to tell us how Russia can respond!” declared a Kremlin henchman.
Threatens France
Another guest on the show, Andrey Sidorov, vice-dean of the faculty of world politics at Moscow State University, told V. Solovyov that the question was “not about whether to use nuclear weapons or not.”
“The question is what to use them against.” They often talk about France or Great Britain,” said the professor.
“That’s right, France, Germany, Poland, Great Britain,” confirmed V. Solovyov.
“This is not the main question,” repeated Sidorov. – There is another threatening country that stands behind all of the above. I mean the United States of America. Unlike the other countries you mentioned, it could pose an existential threat to Russia. The question is whether we start the attack and deliver the first blow, no one has ever rejected the idea of a disarming strike,” said A. Sidorovas.
He has not decided where to strike
Solovyov said he has not decided where Russia should attack with nuclear weapons.
“I just can’t decide: Paris or Marseille?” What should we destroy in Germany because of their Taurus? Maybe Munich? Maybe we should organize a vote of the audience to see which cities they would like to spare, said V. Solovjov. – Humanity’s level of insanity has reached its limits, the West will stop at nothing. We should strictly fight it with all the forces and means at our disposal.”
During Putin’s annual State of the Nation address in Moscow last week, the Russian leader warned that his “strategic nuclear forces are on full alert”.
“Russia will not allow anyone to interfere in its internal affairs,” he warned.
His remarks came after Macron suggested that NATO members could send ground forces to Ukraine. Other NATO allies, including the United States, refused to do so after Macron’s proposal.
