Francesco Bagnaia was the fastest in the second free practice for the 2024 Spanish MotoGP. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez was in third place.

At the Jerez Circuit, Spain, Friday (26/4/2024), riders had a difficult start in FP2. Many fell on the track.

T1 and T13 have several times claimed ‘victims’ such as Alex Marquez, Miguel Oliveira and Raul Fernandez.

The session got hotter towards the end. After an hour of practice was almost over, many riders overtook each other to overtake the time record.

Brad Binder briefly led the session, before being overtaken by Jorge Martin and Maverick Vinales. The binder itself then crashed just before the end of practice.

Towards the close of the session, Bagnaia shot to become the fastest. The defending MotoGP champion set a time of 1 minute 36.025s.

Maverick Vinales is in second place with a time of 1 minute 36.125 seconds. Marc Marquez closed the top three with a time of 1 minute 36.168 seconds, ahead of Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin, who were the fastest top five riders in FP2.
