The Lebenshilfe Salzburg is seeking dedicated⁣ support staff for a summer holiday programme ⁢for children ‍and‌ adolescents with disabilities. This program offers a valuable opportunity ⁢for individuals interested ⁤in working with young people​ and gaining experience in the social care sector.

Program Details

The holiday program will⁢ run ‍for six weeks, from July 13, 2026, to August 21, 2026.‍ Staff are required‍ to commit to a minimum of three weeks within this period. The program will be ⁢held at two locations in Salzburg:

  • kb-schule, general-Keyes-Straße 4,​ 5020 Salzburg
  • ABK-Schule, Peter-Pfenninger-Straße 45, 5020 Salzburg

The ⁢typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, approximately from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a detailed ⁢schedule to be⁣ provided⁤ to successful applicants.

Responsibilities

As a support staff member, ⁢your responsibilities ‍will include:

  • Providing care and supervision for⁣ children and adolescents with disabilities.
  • Organizing and leading outings ‌in the local area.
  • Facilitating various leisure activities.
  • Assisting with personal hygiene needs as required.

Qualifications

Applicants must be at least 18 years old. A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and adolescents with disabilities is essential. While not mandatory, qualifications such as a degree in social work (Fachsozialbetreuer:in) or a nursing assistant⁣ qualification (Pflegeassistent:in) are considered advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a salary based on the ​SWÖ‍ Collective Agreement (SWÖ-Kollektivvertrag), Usage Group 5. As of January 20, 2026, the minimum gross monthly salary for‌ a 37-hour work week is €2,608 (subject to adjustment based on prior relevant work experience).
