From May onwards, the drinks group will have exclusive distribution of Schweppes in the three sectors, in Portugal.
The Super Bock group will now have exclusive distribution of the Schweppes and La Casera brands in hotels, restaurants and cafes (Horeca channel) throughout the country.
In a statement, the drinks group (owner of brands such as Super Bock, Carlsberg or Pedras) announces that it has reached an agreement with Suntory Beverage & Food Portugal. At stake is the distribution of the two brands mentioned, in Portugal, from May onwards.
“By joining our products, such as Super Bock or Pedras”, stated the CEO of the Super Bock group, Rui Lopes Ferrerira, “we are creating new opportunities for our Horeca customers and we believe that this will result in working together very well -successful in the national market”.
The person responsible also reiterated his satisfaction with the partnership that involves “an important brand, such as Schweppes”.
In statements cited in the same statement, the general director of Suntory Beverage & Food Portugal, Carlos de la Revilla, noted that “this collaboration marks a new phase” for the group, as it accelerates “growth in the Horeca segment, vital for the business” . In this sense, he underlined the certainty that “the partnership with the Super Bock group will strengthen the presence of the Schweppes brand among Portuguese customers and facilitate the introduction of the group’s new brands in the national market”.
