Suriya’s upcoming Telugu film directed by Venky Atluri has been officially titled Vishwanath & Sons, with producers scheduling a July 2026 theatrical release. The makers unveiled the first-look poster featuring the Tamil superstar smiling while cradling a baby in a carrier and holding a milk bottle.
Title Announcement and First-Look Poster Reveal
The project previously known by the working title Suriya 46 has a definitive name. Sithara Entertainments unveiled the official title, Vishwanath & Sons, alongside a first-look poster on March 2, 2026. The promotional rollout immediately drew widespread attention across social media platforms, with fans celebrating what producers describe as a return of the actor’s vintage cinematic charm.

Actor Suriya took to social media to share the new poster and release window, writing on X that it would feature love with a difference and a family with a purpose as they arrive in July as a wholesome entertainer. Production banner Sithara Entertainments released a joint statement praising the star’s presence and warmth for the upcoming family drama.
Sithara Entertainments stated via the Deccan Herald that there was power in his presence and warmth in his embrace, bringing back the vintage magic of @Suriya_offl in a heart-touching family spectacle for #VishwanathAndSons, noting that the biggest family drama of the year arrives that July.
Cast, Crew, and Production Details
Written and directed by Venky Atluri — who is coming off the success of the black-comedy crime drama Lucky Baskhar starring Dulquer Salmaan — the film features an ensemble cast. Alongside Suriya, the movie stars Mamitha Baiju, Radhika Sarathkumar, and Raveena Tandon. The project marks Raveena Tandon’s return to Tamil cinema after a 24-year gap following her role in the 2001 Kamal Haasan-starrer Aalavandhan.

Behind the camera, G.V. Prakash Kumar composed the music, while Nimish Ravi served as cinematographer and Navin Nooli handled editing. The film is produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, and is presented by Srikara Studios.
Director’s Vision for the Family Drama
While details regarding the plot remain largely under wraps, producer Naga Vamsi outlined the narrative scope in an interview with Gulte. Discussing the core emotional dynamic, Vamsi explained that the film explores relationships, love and emotions between a 45-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, positioning the project as a proper, happy family film anchored by strong human emotions.
Shooting for Vishwanath & Sons has already been wrapped up, and the team is preparing to roll out a teaser in the coming days ahead of its scheduled July 2026 theatrical release.
Suriya’s Busy Work Front
The upcoming family drama adds to a packed slate for Suriya. The actor was recently seen in director Karthik Subbaraj’s 2025 period action drama Retro, which co-starred Pooja Hegde and Shriya Saran and is currently streaming on Netflix. Beyond Vishwanath & Sons, Suriya has lined up Karuppu directed by RJ Balaji and co-starring Trisha Krishnan, alongside an untitled project directed by Jithu Madhavan featuring Nazriya Nazim and Naslen.
