Penrith isn’t the only club in the mix to sign David Fifitawith another Sydney-based club entering the race to sign the wantaway Titans forward.
According to 9News reporter Danny Weidler, the 24-year-old has met with Roosters coach Trent Robinson regarding a potential move to Bondi next year.
The Sydney Morning Herald is reporting the club has tabled a $3.3 million deal to join the Tricolours, who are cashed-up due to a plethora of high-profile departures.

Jared Warea-Hargreaves, Joey Manu, Joseph Suaalii and Luke Keary will all be leaving the Roosters at season’s end, while back-rower Angus Crichton remains unsigned.
Fifita has a player option for 2025 to remain on the Gold Coast and has until Thursday to make a decision on his future at the clubs.
The news of the Roosters’ pursuit comes after Penrith offered an $850,000 per year deal across three seasons for Fifita.
St George Illawarra is also expected to meet with Fifita this week.

The hulking forward, who has scored 47 tries in 112 first grade appearances, is on a sizeable contract at the Titans and would free up plenty of salary cap space if a move to Sydney comes to fruition.
Fifita is regarded as one of the most talented forwards in the NRL, but has yet to find a consistent level of football on the Gold Coast since moving to the club in 2021.
Of Hasler‘s men have won just one game this season, including a narrow loss to Melbourne in round nine, with Fifita missing the start of the year due to injury.
