Tax, 31 billion recovered from tax evasion: 24.7 from the Agency alone

From the recovery of tax evasion due to the activity of the Revenue Agency and the Revenue-Collection Agency, the State collected 24.7 billion euros in resources in 2023, 4.5 billion more than the previous year (+22%). The amount rises to 31 billion if we also consider the 6.7 billion recovered by the Revenue Collection agency on behalf of other creditor bodies (from INPS to Municipalities). The data was provided by the director of the agencies, Ernesto Maria Ruffini, presenting the balance of the activity in front of the Minister of Economy, Giancarlo Giorgetti and the deputy minister, Maurizio Leo. The total amount exceeds the last budget of 28 billion.

Giorgetti: tax rewrite by spring

The path of reform proceeds. According to Economy Minister Giorgetti, “intense work” is underway with the legislative decrees on tax delegation: some have been done, “others will be done shortly and the ambition is high, to rewrite the tax system, which was in the program of government, should be completed by spring.”
