Taxi drivers with fuel allowance until May 15th –

The Executive will not definitively remove gasoline subsidy cards from taxi drivers and motorcycle taxi drivers, as announced in a decree in March, postponing the decision until May 15th.

According to the president of ANATA, Francisco Paciente, last week the government charged all credit cards to pay for gasoline, which taxi drivers will be able to use until May 15th.

In statements to Kianda’s MailPatient said that “there is still no consensus in the negotiation process, to reach the taxi price to be fixed from May 15th, but he guarantees that negotiations continue and that the parties can reach an understanding at any time” .

It should be remembered that the government announced the end of the gasoline subsidy, through Presidential Decree no. 68/24, of March 7, in which the document points to the last day of April, as the deadline for the end of subsidized cards granted to taxi drivers, fishermen and farmers.

Taxi fare will only change if fuel goes up, assures ANATA
