The A13 will not reopen before Tuesday, at best. The motorway has been cut in both directions since 11 p.m. Thursday between Paris (ring road) and Vaucresson (A86 duplex) indicates DIRIF, the Ile-de-France roads department. It will remain closed at least until Monday inclusive.for safety reasons after the discovery of a crack, indicated this Friday evening the Hauts-de-Seine prefecture in a press release.
Avenue de la grille d’Honneur in Saint-Cloud is also closed, as well as access to the A13 from Chesnay-Rocquencourt, in Yvelines. Authorities recommend avoiding the area unless necessary. “A reopening of the A13 could be considered during next week”according to the results of the surveillance put in place by the DiRIF, explains the prefecture.
A crack up to 80 cm deep
A large crack was discovered Thursday evening on the roadway during a scheduled closure for work. “It runs along the end of the insertion ramp and crosses the A13 towards Saint-Cloud park, with a depth of 50 to 80 cm depending on the location”specifies the prefecture.
This crack was caused by a movement of the ground, the origin of which we still do not know. “The causes are being diagnosed,” specifies the prefecture. “It also caused cracks in a sewerage structure located 4 meters deep under the motorway.”

The prefecture advises all users to avoid the area and take alternative routes as far upstream as possible from the A15 or A86. Motorists stopped for hours
