The Black keys Announce New Album Peaches, Share thorogood Cover
The Black Keys are set to release their new album, Peaches, on May 1, 2026, through Easy Eye Sound in conjunction with Warner Records. The album features a cover of George Thorogood & The Destroyers‘ “You Got To Lose,” which was released today alongside a music video directed by E.J. McLeavey-Fisher. The 10-song album came together during a challenging time for the band, as Dan auerbach’s father, Chuck, was battling esophageal cancer following a stroke. chuck Auerbach passed away in April 2025 at the age of 75. “We weren’t making a record. We were just jamming, like this is for us,” Dan Auerbach explained. ”Really primal,in a moment when all the nerves were raw,just kinda screaming. We were going through a lot, trying to lift our spirits. I think my dad getting sick made me not give a fuck and just wanna scream for a bit.” NME
