Two Philadelphia police officers were left standing with their hands handcuffed behind their backs by a car thief who escaped when they were escorting him from the hospital to the police car after an investigation, reports AP News.
The 29-year-old man was arrested after he was found sleeping in a car early Sunday morning, which had been stolen from a food courier on Thursday. At dawn on Monday, the suspect began to complain of pain, which is why he was taken to the hospital. After he ran from the police, a warrant was issued for him.
The person is also wanted for two other car thefts, but he is not considered a dangerous criminal. The authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding the 168-centimeter-tall, 65-kilogram man with pigtails and a beard.
