The clues, the songs and the panel’s guesses – here’s everything about episode seven • The disco ball’s own words

The disco ball went out of “Masked singer”.
Behind the mask hid a former close colleague of the presenter David Hellenius.
– I have never been able to sing and dance, I have had such very low self-confidence in that, says the celebrity to Aftonbladet.
It was time for the quarter finals in “Masked singer” where the two groups were joined together and the Pandas, the Skeleton, the Princess Cake, the Disco Ball, the UFO and the Chameleon competed in three battles.
This week, the clues came via the TV viewers and the panel getting to see the mask talking to a celebrity that the person behind the mask is close to, and afterwards the panel got to ask the celebrity questions.
The celebrity panel with Felix Herngren, Nour El Refai, Måns Zelmerlöw and Fredrik Hallgrenwho substituted for Pernilla wahlgrenstruggled to figure out who was hiding behind the masks.

She hid under Discokulan’s mask in “Masked singer”
The Disco Ball and the Princess Cake ended up in the evening’s “face off”, where in the end it was the Disco Ball that went out after the panel and the audience voted.
When the panel made its final guesses, Fredrik Hallgren insisted that it was Sanna Kallur, Nour El Refai guessed at Jessica Almenäs, Måns Zelmerlöw was also on that track but chose to guess at Agneta Sjödin and Felix Herngren moved on with a new name, Emma Green.
Behind the mask really hid the presenter Jessica Almenäs48, who also joined the panel a few weeks ago and worked with for many years David Hellenius i ”Let’s dance”.

She tells Aftonbladet that she was already set on going out in the first program.
– I was sure of it, because I’ve never been able to sing and dance, or at least I didn’t think I could. I have had such very low self-confidence in it. So I thought, well yes, I’ll still go out first. That’s what I set myself up for. So I was very surprised that I made it as far as the quarter-finals. I am incredibly proud of myself for making it.
She stood up for her six-year-old son Sam am a super fan of the show.
– I felt that he will think that this is such a fun thing and be so proud that I have been involved. So I had to do it simply for his sake, that was a big reason why I said yes.

Saw nothing in the mask
Jessica Almenäs barely saw anything in the Disco Ball itself.
– Maybe you don’t think about it as a TV viewer, but it’s quite scary when you have to take dance steps and be on this stage that you can actually fall off when you don’t see anything. It’s very limited vision. You see a bit blurry straight ahead, so you have to take a chance on where you put your feet and so on. But somehow it was still a little safe to wear it when you had to do these things that you thought were a little scary.
How would you summarize the “Masked singer” journey?
– It was an incredible amount of work, it was much more work than I thought it would be. But it was also very, very fun. It was a real adventure, actually, and I’m glad I got to be there for so long anyway. I really took myself outside my comfort zone.

The clues explained:
- We ended up in the wardrobe at “Studio Discokulan”. It hinted at Jessica’s great interest in fashion and that she very often finds herself in a TV studio.
- The disco ball said it dictated her quick feet. Jessica has written a book about running.
- That Discokulan borrowed music from Per and Marie was responsible for the TV program “with the same name as Roxette’s monster hit, namely “She’s got the look”, where Jessica was the presenter.
- Carolina Klüft said that the Discokulan enjoyed a jump down from the gold and the Discokulan said that she was almost the best in the world. Jessica has won silver in the Junior WC in basketball.
- We heard that Discokulan performed in a national arena and with mega-stars abroad. Jessica has competed at the Stockholm Horse Show in the Avicii arena and the program “Superstars” was recorded in Spain.
- The disco ball told me that she had a band that took her out into the world. Jessica competed in Miss Sweden 1998. She came second and got to represent Sweden, wearing a ribbon, in Miss World the same year.
- Why Disco ball? For nine years, Jessica was host of “Let’s dance” together with David Hellenius.
