On Friday around six o’clock in the afternoon, a boy was injured in Františkovy Lázně, who fell from a tree while playing with other children.

His injury was reported from the scene, with a suspected spinal injury, so not only all ground rescue services went to the incident, but also the LZS helicopter took off from the airport in Línich.

City police officers closed off the area for the LZS helicopter to land and assisted the firefighters in guiding it to land. Immediately after the helicopter landed, the rescuers took over the care of the injured boy, who was then transported to the hospital by air, conscious and accompanied by his mother. “We transported the minor boy to the Emergency Department of the Pilsen University Hospital with a suspected serious back injury,” the air rescuers told us.

“Regarding the event, I can state that an approximately eight-year-old boy fell from a tree from a height of approximately four meters. I would like to thank the Františkovy Lázně Municipal Police and all the rescue teams who were immediately on the scene,” said Deputy Mayor Ivo Mlátilík later.
