Here’s what the musician says about himself: “My name is Vilhelms and I’m from Jelgava. When making my music, I was influenced by the group “New Wavy” at first, because I used to be a big fan of this association. Under the influence of “New Wavy” I started five years ago to write songs in English myself. I had released about two songs until I realized that expressing myself in English is not as easy as in Latvian. I took a little break from music, but a couple of years ago I sat down at the computer and started making beats.

With beats, I slowly learned the computer program “FL-Studio” and later I started recording songs again, but this time in better quality and in Latvian. Every day I listen to and get inspired by the duo “Ziedu vija” and by American rappers, my favorite of them is “Playboi Carti”. I’ve been listening to hip-hop all my life, but since I started making my own songs, I’ve started to realize how serious a process it really is! When I started really making music, I started listening to jazz for the first time. I really enjoy the quality and history of jazz.”

The album “Double E” also features collaborations with other rappers away from the spotlight. This time it’s $aksafonz, Archijs, P1rat and zAle.
