The world’s first jetpack competition was held in the United Arab Emirates, reports HVG. In the Dubai race, you had to fly over the water and avoid various buoys to reach the finish line as quickly as possible.
It is no coincidence that the competition was held over water, so the pilots could fly quickly and safely. There was also an accident at Wednesday’s race, Ahmed al-Sehhi from the Emirates fell into the water, but the technicians rescued him unharmed. The competition was won by Issa Kalfon from the United Kingdom.
According to the AP video, each jetpack has 1,500 horsepower and can be driven at nearly 130 kilometers per hour.
