Cars of Japanese brands are particularly vulnerable to such burglary, which – as it turns out – just like German wagons, are popular loot in Poland. In particular, these are cars belonging to one manufacturer.
In 2023, 5,646 passenger cars and delivery vans were deregistered in Poland due to theft. This result is lower by 8%. than in the previous year. At the top of the list were Toyota cars, which are stolen on Polish roads by over 100% more than Audi cars, and other German manufacturers:
And there is no surprise here. Toyota occupies half of the top ten most frequently stolen car models in Poland.
According to the IBRM Samar report, most thefts occurred w Masovian Voivodeship – 2,352. It is worth emphasizing that nearly 2/3 of this number, as many as 1,518 vehicles, were stolen in Warsaw. In turn, the fewest thefts were recorded in the Opole Voivodeship (50) and the ÅšwiÄ™tokrzyskie Voivodeship – 58.
