The Prosecution Office of Kom Hamada District in Beheira Governorate decided to detain a farmer and his wife for 4 days pending investigations into accusing them of killing their son and burying him next to their house in the village of Alqam.
The events of the incident are due to a report to the Kom Hamada Police Station, from “Saber A.,” 55 years old, a farmer and resident of the village of Alqam, about the disappearance of his son Hassan, 18 years old.
Investigations found that behind the disappearance of the aforementioned victim was his father, with the help of his mother, Ghazala M.S., a housewife, after they tortured him and caused his death. Upon arrest, they confessed to tying him with ropes and assaulting him by beating him for several days until he breathed his last, for the purpose of disciplining him for his bad behavior and his habit of consuming cigarettes and substances. They added that they disposed of the body by burying it next to the doorstep of the house, and presented their crime before a team of investigation authorities after exhuming the body and discussing it.
