The Mahamasina Sports Palace will vibrate with the colors of Malagasy creativity on April 18, 19 and 20, on the occasion of the first edition of the cultural and creative industries fair organized by the Ministry of Culture and Communication. Named “Tokontany Be”, this event aims to establish a constructive dialogue between cultural actors in Madagascar, with the aim of promoting the national artistic industry, encompassing publishing, audiovisual production, photography, dance, theater, visual arts, fashion, and many more.

“More than seventy exhibitors will be present over these three consecutive days to showcase their hard work and creativity. The show is open free of charge to all culture enthusiasts,” declared Francis Alexandre Razafiarison, Director General of Culture, during a press conference at Ivokolo Analakely yesterday.

The event will be divided into three categories of stands which are for publishing, visual and audiovisual art. Conferences led by renowned professionals, including Ny Eja, a Malagasy editor, will also be on the program. “This show aims to industrialize the cultural sector in Madagascar. Many talents still remain hidden, and this project is an opportunity to reveal this buried potential,” he concludes.
