The Dublin Horse Show continued to thrill audiences on its second day, witnessing a surge of Irish talent in the Main Arena. Following yesterday’s successes, riders Tom Wachman and Jordan Coyle added two more international wins to Ireland’s tally at the historic 150th edition of the show. Wachman Claims Anglesea Speed Stakes Victory
Twenty-year-old Tom Wachman, riding Hawaii, delivered a blistering performance to secure victory in the Anglesea Speed Stakes. Representing coolmore Showjumping, Wachman navigated the 1.45m table C course flawlessly in 69.51 seconds.
This notable time edged out Switzerland’s Bryan Balsiger and Fais Toi Belle Du Seigneur, who had previously set the pace at 69.65 seconds. It’s a testament to Wachman’s skill and the partnership he shares with Hawaii.

Coyle and Chaccolino Triumph in The Cashel Palace Hotel stakes
Later in the afternoon, Derry’s Jordan Coyle and Chaccolino captivated the crowd with a stunning win in the cashel Palace Hotel Stakes, a prestigious class with a €58,600 prize fund. Six combinations qualified for the jump-off after a clear first round.However, only five ultimately contested it, with trevor Breen and highland President opting not to participate. Rodrigo Pessoa, a former Irish team manager, set an initial target of 41.18 seconds with Major Tom.
But Coyle and Chaccolino truly stole the show. Their clear round was completed in a breathtaking 37.19 seconds – a time that proved insurmountable for the remaining competitors. The energy in the arena was electric as they crossed the finish line. Watch their winning jump-off here:
