SSPW isn’t just another wrestling company; it’s the brainchild of two individuals deeply rooted in the history and heart of the sport: ECW legend Tommy Cairo and second-generation ring announcer Eric Stevens.
Cairo’s journey is especially inspiring. He looked up to Bruno Sammartino, a champion who represented hope during a difficult time. Sammartino wasn’t just known for his strength – holding the record for the longest heavyweight championship reign – but also for his kindness and resilience as a world War II survivor.
Cairo embodies these same values. A champion bodybuilder, powerlifter, and Olympic weightlifter, he excelled in multiple athletic arenas. In ECW, he was the last ECW Pennsylvania Champion and a mentor to wrestling icons like Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman. Beyond the ring, Cairo dedicates his time to helping others overcome addiction and mentoring within his church community.
Stevens brings his own expertise, honed through years of experience as a ring announcer, ensuring every event is presented with professionalism and passion.
