KRK – Tourists on Krk had to drag their suitcases to the entrance ramp of the airport, because entering the airport by bus is too expensive, Novi list reported. The proof is a video from Saturday showing a group of people dragging suitcases along the road.
While some tourists were not too bothered by this strange practice, others admitted that they were unpleasantly surprised. “The weather is nice, we’re on vacation, so it wasn’t that difficult,” pre New list said one of the vacationers, adding that such a practice should not be common. “It wasn’t a problem for me personally because I’m in good shape, but it can be a challenge for passengers who may have some kind of health problem, especially mobility issues,” another tourist stated.
The Chairman of the County Chamber of Commerce, Emil Priskić, pointed out that the prices for entering and parking vehicles at the airport have increased significantly, in some cases by up to 100 percent, in the most dramatic cases by up to 1,000 percent compared to last year. According to the president of the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies, Tomislav Fain, the new parking price list for carriers at Rijeka airport is the result of a complete misunderstanding of the tourism sector on the part of the airport administration, reports the portal Morski.hu.
