Several people were injured in the accident.
– It is a serious accident. Specially trained police were on the scene and provided emergency medical care to three of the injured people. In connection with the car overturning on its side, two people who are on bicycles or on foot are injured, says police spokesperson Patric Fors.
The alarm about the accident came in at 18.20 after a collision from behind. After the collision, one of the cars ended up on its side.
Did the driver drive too fast?
– I cannot comment on that, the investigation will have to show it. The cars have been impounded and are to be examined. We have also spoken to witnesses, says Patric Fors.
Unknown number of injured
In total, six ambulances have transported the injured to hospital, but according to SOS Alarm, it is currently unclear how many have been injured. According to Region Skåne, a man has received serious injuries, then a woman in her 30s and a man in his 40s have received minor injuries.
– It is too early to say whether there is any suspicion of crime, says Patric Fors.
A report of gross negligence in traffic and suspected drunk driving has been drawn up by the police.
