Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Speaking at the 15th Summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in Gambia, Saturday (4/5/2024), Fidan ensured that Israel would receive punishment.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, ISTANBUL — Türkiye believes in the recognition of many countries towards the country Palestine would be a major blow to Israel. This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan when speaking at the 15th Summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in Gambia, Saturday (4/5/2024).

Fidan said Türkiye was ready to use all available means to pressure Israel. He said the Turkish people expected real results from the summit meeting OIC Summit the 15th.

“Recognition of Palestine by more countries would be a major blow to Israel,” he said.

Fidan called on OIC countries to make every effort to ensure Palestine’s full membership in the United Nations (UN). Türkiye will also utilize all diplomatic means in order Israel not left unpunished.

Furthermore, Fidan said, Turkey on May 1 decided to join South Africa in suing Israel at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
