Two police officers were transported to hospital Saturday evening following a collision at the intersection of Saint-Laurent and Saint-Joseph boulevards in Montreal.
The incident occurred around 5:15 p.m., according to information from the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM).
The police officers in the patrol car were responding to a call when they entered the intersection where the accident took place.
The SPVM officers, who were driving on Saint-Laurent Boulevard northbound, then collided with a car heading westbound on Saint-Joseph Boulevard.
The two patrol officers were transported to hospital for minor injuries while the driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident was not injured.
A security perimeter has been installed at the event site.
Boulevard Saint-Laurent is closed to traffic from avenue Mont-Royal, while the perimeter extends from avenue de l’Hôtel-de-Ville to rue Saint-Urbain on the boulevard Saint Joseph.
