UK’s Largest Official Harry Potter Store to Open on London’s Oxford Street this November

The official Harry Potter retail footprint in the UK is set for expansion with a 21,000-square-foot flagship store scheduled to open on Oxford Street this November. Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences announced that the two-level retail destination will open on November 4, 2026, at The Ribbon development located at 134–140 Oxford Street, bringing an immersive wizarding world experience to one of London’s busiest shopping districts.

For a retail thoroughfare that draws roughly half a million visitors daily, according to the New West End Company, the arrival of a major themed flagship arrives. The opening of an official, high-profile destination backed by studio-grade design and exclusive product lines offers a destination on Oxford Street.

Diagon Alley Design and Exclusive Attractions

The Oxford Street flagship has been styled around the aesthetic of Diagon Alley, aiming to replicate the atmosphere of the fictional magical marketplace. According to Retail Gazette, the retail space will span two levels and feature several large-scale installations designed to draw foot traffic from the capital’s busy pavements.

Visitors walking through the doors will encounter a Gringotts bank area crowned by a Ukrainian Ironbelly Dragon installation. Toward the rear of the store sits a full-sized Knight Bus. The layout also incorporates a dedicated food and beverage space styled after The Leaky Cauldron, where patrons can purchase Butterbeer, Frozen Butterbeer, Hot Butterbeer, Butterbeer Ice Cream, and related treats.

Karl Durrant, senior vice president of retail at Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, pointed to the significance of establishing the flagship in the city where the narrative originated. “Following the success of our Harry Potter shops around the globe, opening the Harry Potter Shop in London is a truly special milestone,” Durrant said, as reported by Retail Gazette. “We’re incredibly proud to bring the magic back to the city where Harry Potter’s story began.”

By planting a 21,000-square-foot flag directly on Oxford Street, Warner Bros. creates a heavyweight anchor. The venue will stock exclusive products, including a Diagon Alley wand, an Oxford Street Harry Potter Funko Pop, an Oxford Street collection, MinaLima artwork inspired by the Knight Bus and Diagon Alley, and a Butterbeer label collection.

The New West End Company welcomed the announcement, describing the flagship as a “great example” of an “immersive and leisure experience” for the nation’s high street, as noted by the BBC.

Expanding the UK Wizarding Retail Network

The Oxford Street location becomes the second official Harry Potter retail destination in the United Kingdom, joining the existing shop at King’s Cross station, which sits alongside the well-known Platform 9¾ photo installation. Beyond retail stores in cities such as New York, Chicago, and Tokyo, the company also operates the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Leavesden.
