The passenger appeared to be curtly asking the officer what was wrong with his luggage which was only fruit.

The officer then asked for Phytosanitary, namely a certificate or some kind of health certificate as a condition for bringing fruit from abroad.

Feeling confused by the officer’s question, the passenger answered that he had never used the letter as intended.

“I never use it like that usually,” answered the passenger.

“Oh, every airport should have one, you just have to take care of it,” explained the officer.

The official explained that the certificate shows that the quarantine officer from the country of arrival has checked or declared that the fruit is free from fruit flies.

Because the woman did not bring a certificate as a condition for bringing fruit, the officers decided to detain her.
