Inaugural Literary Prize Celebrates the Art of Adaptation
A new literary prize has been launched, spotlighting extraordinary books with strong potential for film and television adaptation. This initiative recognizes the powerful synergy between literature and visual storytelling, aiming to champion both grate writing and the creative process of bringing stories to the screen.
The jury assembled for this inaugural event is a distinguished group of industry leaders. It includes acclaimed director Alice Winocour, whose upcoming film couture, starring Angelina Jolie, is generating notable buzz. Prosperous screenwriter and director Noé Debré also joins, alongside producer Thibault Gast, known for Fresh Water for Flowers and other notable projects.
Rising star Sayyid El Alami, recently featured in Oussekine and set to lead Fief, represents the next generation of acting talent. Representing the literary world are celebrated novelists Anne Berest (Finistère) and Karine Tuil (The Accusation). Completing the panel is Léa Marchetti, a respected literary podcast producer and contributor.
