A regional Celebration
The Soligo parade is part of a broader provincial celebration of Carnival. The “Carnevali di Marca” format continues to grow in popularity, establishing itself as a highly anticipated annual event. The Farra di Soligo event is strategically positioned between other major Carnival parades in the region, including those in Conegliano, Vittorio Veneto, Montebelluna, and Treviso, which collectively attract tens of thousands of attendees and feature elaborate, handcrafted floats.
Mayor’s Commentary
“This event is more than just a parade; it’s a symbol of our identity and community spirit. The allegorical float is an impressive, festive structure, the result of months of skilled craftsmanship and passion. Each masked figure and detail on the float represents a satire of reality or a tribute to imagination, transforming the collective work of artisans into a traveling work of art that unites the community,” stated Mayor Mattia Perencin. He further emphasized that participation in the provincial circuit promotes not only entertainment but also the beauty of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG hills.
