Karina Grigorjeva, representative of the Liepāja power sports team and association “Libava Powerlifting”, informed that 69 veterans from ten municipal teams took part in the bench press competition of the 61st LSVS Games in Kode, Bauska region, which ended on April 20.
Liepāja was represented this time by five members of the “Liepāja Senior Sports Club” (LSSK) in cooperation with the “Libava Powerlifting” team.
Participants’ results:
Karina Grigorjeva won 1st place in the women’s competition in the age group “s40” in the 63+ kg category with a result of 92.5 kg.
Lāsma Gūtmane won 2nd place in the women’s competition in the age group “s40” in the 63+ kg category with a result of 75 kg.
Dainars Diablovs in the men’s competition in the age group “s40” in the category up to 105 kg set a personal record with a result of 157.5 kg and ranks 4th, pressing the same weight as the 3rd place winner, but remained in 4th place because he is a little heavier than a competitor.
Mareks Pūkis won the 2nd place in the men’s competition in the age group “s50” in the category up to 150 kg with a result of 132.5 kg.
Zigurds Giebietis won 3rd place in the men’s competition in the age group “s60” in the category up to 83 kg with a result of 117.5 kg.
