George Simion declared in an interview he gave for frankspeech.com in the USA that he will run for the presidency of Romania.
Simion is in Washington DC as an alleged guest at the biggest Republican conference: CPAC / The Conservative Political Action Conference”.
He claims to be speaking at a meeting where Trump is coming
Newsweek Romania showed that there is no evidence that Simion is invited to this event where entry is made with a ticket that costs between 50 and 600 dollars. Interviewed by Newsweek, Simion claimed that he would give a speech from the stage where Donald Trump would be.
Asked to provide evidence, Simion ended the dialogue with Newsweek by saying, “I don’t talk to the vidanjaro!”

So far Simion has claimed that there will be an internal analysis in the AUR for the nomination of the candidate.

“I will probably go to the second round with the socialist candidate in the elections for the presidency of Romania,” said Simion.

George Simion launched, in the interview, all kinds of conspiracy theories claiming that it is possible that there will be no elections in Romania.
Simion claimed that the political class is so scared of him and AUR that they decided to postpone the elections, and it is not even clear if they will be held.
In another interview he said that AUR did not urge people not to vaccinate, which is a lie. Read for example the mind-boggling claims of Sorin Lavric, President of the AUR Senate, who believes that COVID does not exist and vaccines have killed millions of people. Just visit his FB page.
George Simion states that they did not support the vaccination campaign because the scientific community was divided about the quality of the vaccine which is experimental. Obviously, a lie. Simion claims to be fighting globalism
In the second interview Simion spoke about “the tyrannical character of the globalist assault on the traditional family, Christianity and national sovereignty”. Nonsense, he said in a country where the population declares itself to be 90% Christian.
A statement both false and hypocritical. Newsweek noted how familial George Simion is who decided to put his fortune away from his wife. He and his wife have decided to keep their assets separate, as shown in his Declaration of Wealth. The wife also took out a mortgage for which Simion will have no responsibility. The link is below.
