A critically important power outage affected the town of Baden, Austria, on Sunday afternoon. According to the disruption map of Wiener Netze, half of the city was without power as of 4:33 PM local time.

“The responsible authorities are already working to resolve the disruption. Please remain calm – thes outages are usually quickly located and fixed,” the baden Police Department stated on Facebook.
Approximately 2,000 Households Affected
The duration of the outage remains unclear, but work to restore power has been ongoing for over an hour. Residents have also reported power outages in Baden on social media platforms, though the initial cause was unknown.
