According to the latest rumors, Sega is working on a reboot of Virtua Fighter work.
Sega fans already know that the publisher is reissuing some of its classics: Jet Set Radio, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Shinobi und Crazy Taxi. However, insider Tom Henderson announced some time ago that Sega is working on further reboots of well-known games that are currently still waiting to be announced.
As the well-known leaker “Midori” now reports, Sega is also planning a reboot of the Virtua Fighter series.
“This is a reboot that RGG Studios is not developing. It is developed by employees of the latest Virtua Fighter games. There are single-player and multiplayer elements aimed at casual and core gamers, including competitive gamers,” said Midori.
An official confirmation from Sega is still pending.
