Visakhapatnam‘s New Art Gallery, LG India CSR Foundation, Opens with “Shoreline of Voices” Exhibition
Visakhapatnam’s vibrant art scene has a new home. The recently inaugurated LG India CSR Foundation gallery at VIP towers is hosting “Shoreline of Voices,” a compelling exhibition showcasing a diverse range of contemporary Indian art. N Naga Manikanta’s fiberglass and iron sculpture immediately captures attention. It depicts a man balancing an elephant, a powerful visual metaphor prompting reflection on the disproportionate burdens individuals frequently enough carry.
M Rajya Lakshmi’s “The Village,” also crafted in fiberglass, offers a poignant portrayal of rural life. Women are shown engaged in the essential tasks of water collection and laundry. The composition beautifully underlines the endurance and labor that sustain these communities, capturing a rhythm that feels both familiar and deeply meaningful.
Printmaking also holds a prominent place within the exhibition. T Naveen‘s “Memories” presents a sensitive and precise depiction of a village landscape. The artist’s choice of etching as a medium emphasizes the lasting nature of these recollections. It suggests that such memories remain firmly etched in the collective consciousness, even as the physical spaces evolve.
