Customer data residence for Viva Glint

VIVA GLINT Customer data residence is limited to three regions: West of the USA, EU and Australia. This applies to the data stored at rest, which constitute metadata of the Glint surveys created and answered, and the reports generated for those surveys.

Necessary conditions:

EU data residence

Necessary conditions:

  1. The tenant It has a tenant lodging country included in the European Union data limit (EUDB).
  2. The tenant It has a valid viva glint license.

Australian data residence

Necessary conditions:

  1. The tenant It has a country of tenant lodging location that is Australia or New Zealand.
  2. The tenant It has a valid viva glint license.
  3. For existing customers, The tenant You must opt ​​for migration to the Australian Data Center. For the new Viva Glint customers after July 1, 2025, the data will reside in an Australian data center.

Important

  • We can temporarily move the data outside Australia to the US or the EU to process data through the main services of Microsoft 365. The data that move outside Australia will not reside for more than 24 hours and will be deleted at the end of the processing operations.
  • When integrating glint with another service, see the terms and documentation of these services to know if your data can leave Australia.
  • In the case of existing living glint customers, the instance will not be automatically migrated to Australia. Account administrators work with tenant administrators to obtain approval if you want the data to reside in Australia. Then, we will work with you to align in a migration time scale.

How long are Viva Glint’s data stored?

VIVA GLINT Data are stored for a maximum of 3 (three) years or when an administrator explicitly eliminates them. Some customer contents, as conclusions or inferences based on individual responses, must be eliminated at the origin to cascade the calculated outputs. Administrators can delete files on the name of users.
