The choice to acknowledge a Palestinian state is an ‘essential step in the direction of peace’, the leaders of Ireland, Spain and Norway have stated.

The prime ministers of Ireland, Spain and Norway welcomed his choice to acknowledge a Palestinian state as an “essential step” in the direction of “peace” within the area.
