A new rumor based on investor notes claims that Apple is most likely ahead of its own release plan for its devices. The new leak confirms earlier findings from multiple sources that Apple is working on a 20.3-inch foldable hybrid device, followed by a foldable iPhone.

However, previous reports indicated that Apple would be ready to launch its first foldable device sometime in 2026-2027 at best, while the latest rumor suggests that the device could see the light of day in 2025. Following leads supply chain-related, the company would be ready for mass production in late 2025, which means the device will launch in late 2025 or even early 2026.

The hybrid device will be the first of the new range that Apple is preparing and will not be called iPad or MacBook. It will target the ultra-premium segment of the market.

Of course, a foldable iPhone is also in development, and Apple is said to be working on two sizes, 7.9 inches and 8.3 inches. They will likely enter mass production a year later, in late 2026.

It was already known that the Cupertino giant is trying to enter the foldable device market, and this is the most optimistic prediction yet. But it is clear that only time will tell if Apple will succeed in achieving these goals.
