In an unexpected twist of fate, an American woman was presented with a lottery ticket that turned out to be the winner of a prize worth one million dollars, more than 930 thousand euros.
Big luck smiled at this woman when a stranger, but a regular customer at a gas station in Chicago, offered her a Lucky Day Lotto ticket. The winner admits she was in shock upon finding out she had won, according to a news release from the Illinois Lottery.
The winning numbers were 3-4-6-25-27. The gas station where the ticket was purchased, Fas Mart, received $10,000 for selling the winning ticket, local media reports. Nothing is known at this time about the ‘good Samaritan’ who offered the winning ticket.
“Everything happens for a reason”, said the winner, who chose to remain anonymous.
As he revealed, the money will be used to buy a car, give part to his grandfather, find a new house and save the rest.
