BLIK, a popular mobile payment system in Poland, has offered its users a new function – “BLIK Pay Later”. This service allows for deferred payments, which means that the user can make a purchase but only pay for it later, at no additional cost, if the repayment is made within 30 days.

Benefits and expense control

The “Pay Later” service offers control over expenses and flexibility in budget management:

  • Control of limits and repayments: All liabilities and limits related to the service can be monitored in the VeloBank bank application.
  • Repayment reminders: The bank will automatically remind users about the upcoming repayment date three days before its expiry.
  • No additional costs: If the debt is repaid on time, the user does not incur any additional costs beyond the purchase amount. Exceeding the repayment deadline will result in interest being charged.

Where can you use “BLIK Pay Later”?

Currently, the service is only available to VeloBank customers and selected stores, such as Morele or VeloMarket. It is expected that as more banks join the system, more stores will offer this form of payment, increasing the availability of the service to a wider range of customers.

The system allows you to complete transactions for a minimum amount of PLN 30. The maximum purchase amount is equal to the available credit limit, which can be up to PLN 4,000.

How does “BLIK Pay Later” work?

The principle of operation of the new service is simple and user-friendly:
