Discord isn’t the only social platform expanding into gaming.
Only our older readers can remember the times when video games were mostly aimed at children and a more or less narrow subculture, but today we are not only distant from this era in time, since this interactive form of digital entertainment is everywhere and everything age group, so it’s a bigger deal than ever.
This is well demonstrated by the fact that in recent years both Apple and Netflix have made their own game catalogs available, and recently the Discord announced, to create an app ecosystem with a heavy emphasis on games. However, this is not the end, as now an unexpected actor has also started to stir.
An independent developer, Nima Owji, was the first to discover that Microsoft-owned LinkedIn was also working on integrated games, of which he also posted some screenshots on X. Based on the screenshots, they are simple titles, which are given a social aspect by listing the number of our contacts who tried the given game and the ranking of our company/employer.
BREAKING: #LinkedIn is working on IN-APP GAMES!
There are going to be a few different games and companies will be ranked in the games based on the scores of their employees!
Pretty cool and fun, in my opinion! pic.twitter.com/hLITqc8aqw

LinkedIn would probably be the last platform from which users would expect such a step, since it is a job search and professional networking service, TechCrunch at his request, however, the company confirmed that they are indeed expanding the range of available functions with games, and more they also provided the portal with some more current imageswhich reflect a slightly more polished state than Owji’s gallery.
The spokesperson for the social media site revealed that they hope the games will create new opportunities for users not only for entertainment, but also for communication and relationship building, but it remains a secret when they can go live, and the company also did not comment that whether Microsoft, the parent company with significant game industry resources, also participates in the development of addresses for LinkedIn.
