Mark Ronson to Score Greta Gerwig‘s “Narnia” Adaptation for Netflix
Exciting news is emerging from the world of film scoring and fantasy adaptations. Mark Ronson, the acclaimed musician and producer, is set to collaborate once again with director Greta Gerwig. This time, he’ll be composing the music for her upcoming adaptation of C.S. Lewis’s “Chronicles of Narnia” series, exclusively for Netflix.
Ronson previously served as executive music producer on Gerwig’s blockbuster “Barbie.” He co-wrote and co-produced five songs for the film,alongside co-writing the score with Andrew Wyatt. the music from “Barbie” received widespread recognition, including nominations for Grammy, Golden Globe, and Academy Awards.
This new project finds Ronson diving into the fantastical realm of Narnia. Sources indicate the adaptation will likely focus on “The Magician’s Nephew,” the sixth book published in the beloved series, but serves as a prequel chronologically.
