Safelog Redefines Mobile robotics with New Product Naming and Addresses AMR Challenges
The continuous evolution of robotics is exemplified by companies like Safelog, a provider of mobile robotic solutions. Recently, Safelog announced a restructuring of its product naming conventions to improve clarity within its expanding portfolio. The traditional designation of “AGV” (Automated Guided Vehicle) is being phased out as it no longer adequately reflects the capabilities of modern robots. Instead, a new, structured naming system is being implemented to help customers identify the most suitable device for their specific needs.
New Product Naming structure
Safelog’s new product names are based on the core functionalities of each robot. Models designed for towing will be identified with “tow,” those capable of lifting loads will carry the “lift” designation,robots with rotating or lifting platforms will be labeled “spin,” and the base vehicle will be known as the “core.” This streamlined naming convention aims to provide customers with a clear understanding of each robot’s intended applications.
Beyond AGVs and AMRs: A Shift in Perspective
