Faith No More Announce Return With 2027 Tour Dates Supporting System of a Down

Faith No More has confirmed its first live performances in more than 11 years, announcing four stadium dates in Australia and New Zealand scheduled for January and February 2027. The Mike Patton-led group will perform as the supporting act for System of a Down, marking the band’s first concerts since August 2016.

The announcement came via a brief social media post from the band, which stated, “It’s been a minute,” while unveiling the specific tour dates. This return follows a global touring agreement the group signed last month with Brazilian promoter 30e, a firm that also maintains a touring relationship with System of a Down.

2027 Tour Dates and Locations

The upcoming run consists of four stadium dates. According to the official announcement, the schedule is as follows:

  • Jan. 22: Sydney (Accor Stadium)
  • Jan. 27: Melbourne (Marvel Stadium)
  • Feb. 1: Brisbane, Australia (Suncorp Stadium)
  • Feb. 7: Wellington, New Zealand (Sky Stadium)

The pairing of the two acts is described as a natural fit both musically and economically due to their shared representation with 30e. Additionally, System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian also lives part time in New Zealand.

Path to Reunion and Previous Cancellations

This comeback follows several years of anticipation and a previous failed attempt at a reunion. In 2021, Faith No More was slated to reunite in 2021 for a run of shows alongside Patton’s other group, Mr. Bungle, before he canceled the dates to focus on his mental health.

The band recently celebrated the 37th anniversary of The Real Thing, the landmark 1989 album that transformed it rom cult favorites into one of rock’s most intriguing acts. Released after the band dismissed original frontman Chuck Mosley and recruited then-unknown vocalist Patton, The Real Thing became a multi-genre breakthrough success, eventually earning platinum certification and spawning the crossover smash “Epic,” which climbed into the Billboard top 10.

Faith No More’s return to the stage represents the band’s first concerts since August 2016.
